Welcome to Goodrich C.E. (V.C.) Primary School

It is my pleasure to welcome you to our new school website.

Hopefully, you will both enjoy and learn much from what you find. We also hope that you feel able to make a positive contribution to our developing website.

Goodrich School has 116 pupils and 19 staff of various guises. Most of us have enjoyed working here for a considerable number of years. We are justly proud of our school – in fact, we love it here!

We are situated in the picturesque Wye Valley, which is widely acknowledged as an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’ – a fact we all strive to maintain in everything we do as an ‘EcoSchool’.

We educate for capability, and, are not afraid to pursue excellence in whatever sphere appropriate – as long as it is fun doing so!

Acknowledging that less than 5% of our pupils will end up as teachers, we strive to educate them about ‘real world’ skills and, trust that each child puts him/herself in a position to determine his/her own destiny.

We work together under our ‘Value of the Month’ system, and are regularly rewarded with remarkable pupil achievement – not necessarily academic!
